PRIVACY NOTICE

Effective Date: 19.04.2024

1. Introduction

Welcome to AlpineAI. Safeguarding your privacy is one of our key priorities. This Privacy Notice outlines our approach to handling your data in adherence to the Swiss Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR).

2. Use Cases

We process your personal data in the following cases:

  • Use of the AlpineAI website
  • Use of SwissGPT platform as a service (SaaS)
  • Collection of business contact information
  • Application and employment process

3. Use of AlpineAI Website

While you are visiting our website, we process essential technical data such as IP addresses, browser types, and device details to ensure a smooth and secure user experience. We believe that our interest in maintaining a stable and secure website aligns with your own expectations and benefits.

In addition to this, with your consent, we gather insights into how our visitors interact with the website, helping us enhance our offerings and improve your experience.

4. SwissGPT Platform as a Service (Saas)

When you use our SwissGPT platform, AlpineAI assumes the role of a processor, while our customer acts as the controller. We ensure that questions entered by end-users are handled with the utmost discretion. We eliminate personal data and customer’s confidential data when these queries are routed to an external LLM model for answers. The details concerning this service are regulated by the applicable license agreement between AlpineAI and the customer.

Administrators from the customer’s side can access a dashboard which provides statistics on platform usage.

Our (sub-)processors, located solely in Switzerland, ensure data remains secure and protected.

For any queries or clarifications related to data processed via SwissGPT, users are encouraged to directly approach the organization that holds the software license that they purchased with AlpineAI.

5. Collection of Business Contact Information

Your business contact information shared with us is only used for processing in the interests of both sides. We use this information to discuss potential service procurements, process your registration for one of our events, send AlpineAI-related updates. We don’t sell to or share your contact details with unrelated third parties.

6. Application and Employment Process

Trust is the cornerstone of our recruitment and application procedure. Personal and professional details you share during this process are exclusively used for evaluating potential employment. Our commitment here is rooted in the initial steps towards crafting an employment contract. We respect your trust and ensure your data is never used for unrelated activities. Additionally, we store data only for the period required for fulfilling our obligations in the recruitment process and during employment. Both applicants and our employees can always direct their data protection concerns or questions to compliance@alpineai.ch.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Occasionally, we may find the need to update our Privacy Policy to reflect newer practices or regulations. Whenever such changes occur, we will ensure transparency by updating this policy page and highlighting the effective date.

8. Contact Us

We value our relationship with you and encourage open communication. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your data, you are always welcome to reach out to us at compliance@alpineai.ch.
